Edgar Allen Poe Speakeasy Pops Up In Queen Mary

Watch four stories from famed author Edgar Allen Poe come off the page and onto the stage during the pop-up experience.

LONG BEACH, CA — Inspired by the stories of famed author Edgar Allen Poe, a chilling cocktail show is set to pop up inside the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

Attendees will be able to see four of Poe's stories come off the page and onto the stage through performance and four special, themed cocktails to pair with each tale. Attendees will hear the stories "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Raven," The Masque Of Red Death" and "The Black Cat"

"Led by the speakeasy’s lead mixologist and Poe historians, this immersive evening promises to be a chillingly unforgettable experience," officials said.

To match each story, mixologists have crafted specialty drinks including the Nevermore, a black and gold mix of orange peach blossom vodka, lime juice and "secret spices" inspired by "The Raven." The Pale Blue Eye

The speakeasy will be in the Queen's Parlor inside the ship and will only be on the ship from May 30 to June 1. To attend, guests are required to be 21 years old or older and tickets are required.
