Firefighters Offered Free Entry To Long Beach Triathlon
As a thank you for their efforts battling the LA wildfires, firefighters are being offered free entry to the event, organizers said.
LONG BEACH, CA —Supertri, a sports company known for organizing short-course triathlons, is offering Los Angeles area firefighters free entry to this year's event in Long Beach.
This year's triathlon in Long Beach takes place on Sunday, July 20. As a show of gratitude towards the fire crews that helped battle the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year, Supertri is offering them free entry to this year's race, the event organizers said.
Firefighters who will be participating in a triathlon for the first time will also be offered a free "first-timers" program to help guide them. The top male and female firefighters will also be honored during the awards ceremony at the end of the race.
