Girl, 14, Hit By Car, Critically Injured In Long Beach
Long Beach firefighters took the girl to a hospital, where she was critical but stable, police said.
LONG BEACH, CA — A 14-year-old girl was hospitalized in critical condition after she was struck Saturday in Long Beach by a car whose driver had already crashed into three vehicles in a parking lot, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 11:25 a.m. at Alamitos Avenue and Broadway, Long Beach police Lt. Brian McPhail said.
Long Beach firefighters took the girl to a hospital, where she was critical but stable, McPhail said.

The woman driving the red sedan was also taken to a hospital with injuries not believed life-threatening, he said.
Impairment was not a factor and the investigation continued, McPhail said.
