• Death Of 73-Year-Old Injured In Long Beach Robbery Now Ruled Homicide, Police Say (patch.com) — Long Beach police are now investigating the death of 73-year-old resident Jose Eduardo Viveros as a homicide, months after he was assaulted and robbed outside his Long Beach home in April. Authorities say his fatal spinal injuries, ruled homicide by the county medical examiner, were caused by blunt force trauma, and detectives are seeking tips about several suspects believed to have remained in the area after the attack.
