Going to Dodgers Game? South Bay Fans Can Take Free Metro Shuttle

The Dodger Stadium Express bus is free for people with game-day tickets. Service will begin starting two hours before game time.

For the seventh year, baseball fans will have the option of taking a shuttle bus from the South Bay to games at Dodger Stadium, beginning with Thursday night’s exhibition game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Fans catch a shuttle from the Harbor Gateway Transit Center, with the buses taking advantage of the Metro ExpressLanes along the Harbor (110) Freeway to reach Dodger Stadium, according to Metro.

The Dodger Stadium Express bus is free for people with game-day tickets. It will start running from the Harbor Gateway Transit Center two hours before game time, and ends 45 minutes after the game. These shuttles will run about every 20 minutes.

More than 245,000 fans took the Dodger Stadium Express from Union Station last year, up from 216,000 in 2014.

The fares of ticket-holding fans are covered under a grant from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee. Funding for the Harbor Gateway service is provided by Metro’s ExpressLanes Net Toll Reinvestment Grant Program.
