Here's everything you need to know to recycle your Christmas tree in Long Beach.

LONG BEACH, CA — Now that Christmas has passed, don’t just toss or burn your Christmas trees. Residents in Long Beach have many options to recycle their real trees for free.
Most areas throughout Los Angeles County provide curbside recycling services staring Dec. 26. Christmas trees can be placed at the curbside next to recycling and waste containers on scheduled trash collection days.
Residents recycling their trees were advised to remove ornaments and decorations, plastic containers, tree stands, nails and lights.

Flocked and artificial trees cannot be recycled and should either be reused for next year’s holiday or placed in garbage bins to be disposed of at a landfill.
Residents can also take their real trees to designated drop off areas. In Long Beach, drop off locations are open from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Jan. 8 at the following locations:
