J Balvin Headlines Kickoff Concert In Long Beach For 2022 NFL Season

LONG BEACH, CA — The NFL is starting off its new season with a free event in Long Beach that will include appearances by Bills and Rams legends, a performance by J Balvin and a live stream of the game at SoFi stadium.

Football fans can enjoy all the kickoff event has to offer beginning at 12 p.m. on Thursday. There will be various things to do throughout the day, including photo ops with the Vince Lombardi Trophy and all 56 Super Bowl rings, Bud Light and Smirnoff taverns, a Field Goal Kick game and a 40-yard dash.

"We certainly spared no expense when it comes to producing an NFL event and you'll see that when you come on down tomorrow at 12 o'clock," Senior Director of NFL Event Operations Nicki Ewell said.

J Balvin's headline concert will begin at 4 p.m. and will roll into the live stream of the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams game at 5:30 through 8:30. All fans over the age of 18 need to do to get their free ticket to the event is register at NFL.com/2022kickoff. Fans under 18-years-old do not need to register and are not required to have a ticket.

The event is taking place during a record-breaking heat wave in Los Angeles County, but event managers said their main priority is the safety of the fans visiting. Personal water bottles are allowed and there will be refilling stations throughout the event and EMTs will be on site in case of emergency.

"Get under the umbrellas that we have throughout the entire footprint if you are feeling overheated, but we're keeping our eye on that as well," Special Event Manager Kathleen Ipki said. "Just stay hydrated, look for shade and look out for those EMT stations with the water misting areas."
