Long Beach Container Leak Injures 12
The Long Beach Fire Department says it is responding to a container leak

LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA — A Sunday morning container leak in Long Beach injured 12 people, including one firefighter, the Long Beach Fire Department said on Twitter.
The 6,000-gallon leak happened around 9:30 a.m., the fire department said, and the "unidentified substance" also injured 11 ship workers. NBC Los Angeles identified the substance as a "flammable liquid."
Fire department rescue boats were assisting with a 1,000-foot perimeter to help protect the environment, according to the department.
