Long Beach High Schools Ranked Among Top Schools Nationwide
Seven Long Beach High Schools ranked in the top 5,000 nationwide and the top 700 statewide.

LONG BEACH, CA — A total of 12 Long Beach high schools were lauded for being exceptional learning institutions with seven schools ranking in the top 5,000 nationwide and in the top 700 within the state of California, according to U.S. News and World Report.
Out of 18,000 public schools in the country, Eunice Sato Academy of Math and Science ranked 113 nationally and 15 in California. For countywide rankings, Santo ranked fifth.
Other schools in the district made the list including Ernest S. Mcbride Sr. High School at 434 nationally and 63 in the state; Polytechnic High School at 2,845 nationally and 435 in the state; Millikan High School at 2,882 nationally and 446 in the state; Wilson High School at 3,040 nationally and 467 in the state; Renaissance High School for the Arts at 3,541 nationwide and 529 in the state; Rancho Dominguez Preparatory at 4,589 nationally and 676 in the state.

Five more Long Beach schools made the list including:
- Cabrillo High School, which was ranked 1,146 in California;
- Jordan High School, which was ranked 1,233 in California;
- College Bridge Academy, which was ranked 1,268-1,536 in California;
- Reid High School, which was ranked 1,268-1,536 in California;
- The Education Corps, which was ranked 1,268-1,536 in California;
U.S. News rankings are determined by college readiness scores, based on demographics, state test scores and college prep exams. The rankings are focused on six factors:
