LONG BEACH, CA — A 19-year-old Long Beach resident has been identified as the person killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash Sunday morning in Temecula that also injured two other men, according to authorities.
Preston Obeidin was driving a 1998 Toyota 4Runner around 7:30 a.m. along the northbound SR-79 Freeway in an unincorporated part of Temecula, according to the California Highway Patrol when he suddenly went into an opposing lane.
That's when he "overcorrected," according to CHP Officer Mike Lassig, and lost control of the car. Obeidin then crashed into a telephone pole, causing the car to roll over until coming to a stop on its roof, according to the CHP.
