Long Beach Police Discover Man Shot To Death In Vehicle
Officers on patrol in Long Beach were led by a citizen to the gruesome discovery of a man shot to death in a parked vehicle on the street.
LONG BEACH, CA — Officers on patrol in Long Beach were led by a citizen to the gruesome discovery of a man, they believe in his 40s, shot to death in a parked vehicle on the street, authorities said Sunday.
The discovery was made at about 9:25 p.m. Saturday in the area of 72nd Street and Atlantic Place, according to Lt. Joe Flores of the Long Beach Police Department.
Officers were flagged down by a citizen, who reported to them that a shooting had occurred earlier and described an area where he believed the shooting had occurred, according to an LBPD statement.

Officers located the victim, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, inside a vehicle parked on the street. Firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene, Flores said.
No suspect information was available and an investigation was underway, he said.
