Long Beach Resident Dr. Christine Phan Named to Nonprofit Board
Dr. Phan to Join the Maternal-Child Health Nonprofit MOMS as its Newest Board Member
MOMS - the county’s largest nonprofit dedicated solely to newborn and pregnancy health - recently named Christine Phan, M.D. to their Board of Directors. Dr. Phan is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with Kaiser Permanente, having served as Chief of the Department of Physical Medicine for 24 years.
“We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Phan as our newest board member. With her vast expertise and dedication to community causes, she will provide great leadership to advance our mission of helping families have healthy babies,” said MOMS CEO Dave Lugo.
Dr. Phan aims to expand her support to include needs at a local level and through connections with other MOMS Board Members.

“I definitely think MOMS addresses a high-need group,” Dr. Phan states. “My hope is to participate in expanding programs to further meet the needs of mothers, babies and families in our area.”
Her family is also dedicated to helping young people in Vietnam to attend college. Dr. Phan’s husband is a neurologist, her son is an anesthesiologist while her daughter is an attorney.
