Man Arrested After Long Beach Stabbing
A man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing another man after an argument in Long Beach this week, police said.

LONG BEACH, CA — A man suspected of stabbing another man near Scherer Park was arrested this week.
Police were dispatched to a report of a stabbing on the 200 block of East Arbor Street at around 9:10 a.m. Wednesday. They found the victim suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound to the lower body, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The suspect, Jessie Heredia Torres, 22, of Long Beach, was still on the scene when officers arrived. He was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. His bail was set at $30,000.
Police say Torres and the victim had been in a brief argument that escalated into the stabbing.
