Man Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of Long Beach Man: LBPD
The deadly shooting happened Saturday morning in the area of 17th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, according to police.
LONG BEACH, CA β A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of another man in Long Beach over the weekend, police announced Monday.
Long Beach resident Orlando Joel Villareal was arrested Sunday in Carson on suspicion of murder, according to police.
Villareal shot 43-year-old Long Beach resident Jesse Stiles the morning of June 14 in the area of 17th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Stiles was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, the LBPD said.
It's unclear what prompted the shooting or whether the two men knew each other. Police say a motive remains under investigation and that Villareal is being held on $2 million bail.

Detectives are expected to present the case against Villareal later this week to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, which will weigh whether to charge him.
