Man Hospitalized After Long Beach Stabbing
A man was hospitalized after a late-night stabbing in Long Beach, police said.

LONG BEACH, CA — A man was hospitalized after he was stabbed in his lower body late Monday night near the Los Angeles River, according to police.
Police were dispatched to the area near West Del Amo Boulevard and the 710 Freeway at about 11:47 p.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing. When they arrived they found a man with a non-life-threatening stab wound.
Long Beach Fire Department Paramedics took the victim to a local hospital to treat his injuries.

According to preliminary investigation results, the victim was in the area when an unknown male suspect approached and stabbed him. The suspect fled before police arrived.
Additional information about the motive for the stabbing and the identity of the suspect is unknown, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
