Man Killed Near Grand Prix In Long Beach Identified
The shooting happened Saturday afternoon in the 0 block of Cedar Way, according to police.
LONG BEACH, CA — A man who was fatally shot over the weekend during an argument near the Grand Prix in Long Beach has been identified.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as 21-year-old Brandon Villareal. His city of residence was not immediately available.
Long Beach police say Villareal and a suspect or suspects were arguing around 5:50 p.m. in the 0 block of Cedar Walk. At some point, Villareal was shot multiple times, according to police.

Officers responding to the scene rendered aid to the 21-year-old until Long Beach Fire Department personnel took him to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
It's still unclear if police arrested anyone involved in the shooting.

In a statement Sunday, the Long Beach Police Department said additional circumstances surrounding the shooting were still under investigation.
