LONG BEACH, CA — Police say they are investigating a shooting in Long Beach early Friday morning that left a man hospitalized.The man was sitting in his car in the 1000 block of Gaviota Avenue around 1:43 a.m. when someone walked up and shot him multiple times in the upper body, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The suspect then left the area, police said. Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene and transported the man to a local hospital for treatment, police said. Officers tried to interview the man about the shooting, but he refused to cooperate, police said.
