Police say the man was walking in the 100 block of West Bort Street when someone shot him in the upper body. Officers learned of the shooting when the man arrived at a local hospital, according to the Long Beach Police Department.The man, whose wound was not considered life-threatening, failed to recall details of the shooting, according to police. But officers were able to locate evidence in the 100 block of West Bort Street. Suspect information and a motive for the shooting are still under investigation, police said in a statement Thursday.
