LONG BEACH, CA — Police are investigating a shooting in Long Beach's Willmore neighborhood that left one person hospitalized Sunday night. Details were limited as to the circumstances of the shooting, but police said they were notified of it happening just after 10 p.m. in the 700 block of Seventh Street. There, police found a man who had been shot in the upper body, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The man was taken by Long Beach Fire Department personnel to a local hospital for treatment, according to the LBPD, who said his injury was not considered life-threatening. It's unclear who shot the man or why. No suspect information was immediately available.
