  1. The North Pine Neighborhood Alliance, Women of Long Beach, and the Long Beach Resister Sisters are sponsoring the local march for reproductive rights. Taking place on Saturday, it is part of a national protest. The event starts at 10 a.m. at the Deukmejian Courthouse, 275 Magnolia Avenue. (Random Lengths News)
  2. Council member Stacy Mungo Flanigan will introduce her $3 million artificial turf soccer field project. It is slated for the El Dorado Park field along Studebaker Lane in the 2700 block north of Willow Street. Although approved in a 7-1 vote, it is a highly controversial project. The LB Public Library is introducing a STEAM program for learners aged 12 and up. “The series will cover topics such as interactive electronics and modular synthesizers.” Every two weeks, a new topic will be introduced.
