LONG BEACH, CA — A minor was hospitalized Tuesday night after being shot in Long Beach, according to police. Police say the minor was in a fight with a group of suspects around 8:33 p.m. in the area of Seventh Street and Cherry Avenue when someone shot him in the lower body. The suspects fled and the minor took himself to a local hospital, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The minor's injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said. It's unclear what prompted the fight, as police say they're still looking for the suspects and investigating a motive.
