Missing 12-Year-Old Long Beach Girl Found
Mia Gianna Goforth, 12, returned home safely Thursday night.

LONG BEACH, CA — A 12-year-old girl who went missing after school in Long Beach Wednesday afternoon returned home safely the following night, police said Friday.
Mia Gianna Goforth had left her home in the 2100 block of Fidler Avenue about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday and was considered critically missing, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Authorities had asked the public for help in finding her.
"Goforth had walked to school and was reported to have been there all day," a police statement said. "The last communication with Goforth was by text message at approximately 3 p.m. A possible destination may be Buena Park or Los Angeles."

On Friday, police reported the girl returned home safely about 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Other details were not released.
