Motorcyclst In Critical Condition After Hit-And-Run Crash With Truck

Long Beach police sought the public's help in identifying a suspect vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run with a motorcyclist.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Pacific Avenue at about 6:05 p.m. on Feb. 7 when a black Chevrolet pickup truck entered the intersection.

LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach police are searching for the driver of a truck that was involved in a hit-and-run crash with a motorcyclist, who was hospitalized in critical condition following the crash.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Pacific Avenue at about 6:05 p.m. on Feb. 7 when a black Chevrolet pickup truck entered the intersection.

"The driver of the pickup truck did not stop and continued westbound on 7th Street before turning northbound onto Cedar Avenue. It is unclear at this time which vehicle had the right-of-way.," LBPD said in a statement.

The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in the crash and transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Police believe the truck is a newer model, black Chevrolet pickup truck with 4x4 decals on the panels above both rear tires and likely has front-end damage.
