A woman died early Monday in a multi-vehicle crash on the 710 Freeway in Long Beach, according to reports.
LONG BEACH, CA — A woman died early Monday in a multi-vehicle crash on the 710 Freeway in Long Beach, according to reports.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. on the transition from the northbound lanes of the 710 Freeway to the northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway, City News Service reported.
The California Highway Patrol told KTTV a car stalled on the freeway and was rear-ended by four other vehicles. A woman driving a Toyota sedan died at the scene of the wreck, Patrick Kimball of the CHP told City News Service.

A second woman was hospitalized with injuries, KTTV reported, and a man was found less than a mile away inside a heavily damaged SUV. He was also hospitalized with injuries.
A SigAlert issued around 2:30 a.m. Monday said the transition road was closed. Traffic on both freeways continued moving, and The transition road reopened two hours later.
