Murder Charges Filed Against Man Accused of Gunning Down Girlfriend in Long Beach Alley

Alicia Fath Todd's body was found in an alley last summer. Detectives said she was with her boyfriend the night she died.

A 24-year-old man accused in the 2015 killing of his girlfriend, who was found shot to death in a Long Beach alley last summer, was scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon on a murder charge.

Prosecutors said Tremaine Lewis was “in a domestic relationship” with 21-year-old Alicia Fath Todd, whose body was found in an alley in the 1100 block of East 21st Street early on the morning of June 24.

At the time, police said a 911 caller heard shots around midnight, but didn’t place the emergency call until discovering Todd’s body roughly an hour later.

Detectives interviewed family and friends in an attempt to recreate Todd’s last days and determined that she was with Lewis on the night she died, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Long Beach police said Lewis was arrested Thursday and was being held on $2 million bail.
