Pedestrian In Crosswalk Struck And Killed By Long Beach Driver: Police
A pedestrian died after she was struck by a driver in Long Beach Monday morning, police said.

LONG BEACH, CA — A pedestrian walking in a crosswalk was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday morning in the Sunrise area of Long Beach, according to police.
A 61-year-old Long Beach man driving a 2005 GMC struck the pedestrian as he was making a right turn from westbound Willow Street onto northbound Long Beach Boulevard just before 7 a.m. He struck the woman as she was walking in a marked crosswalk, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Bystanders and responding officers rendered aid to the woman. Paramedics transported her to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Authorities have not identified the driver nor the woman.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
