Pedestrian Struck By 3 Vehicles In Fatal Hit-And-Run On Pacific Coast Highway: Police
Only one of the three drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities, according to Long Beach police.
LONG BEACH, CA — A man is dead after he was hit by three different vehicles on the Pacific Coast Highway, two of which fled the scene, according to Long Beach police.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday near the Molino Avenue intersection, police said, adding the man died at the scene.
An unknown vehicle was traveling east when it hit the man, who was crossing north outside a crosswalk, according to police, who said the vehicle left before officers arrived. The man was then hit while lying in the road, this time by an eastbound 2017 Kia Sportage, whose driver pulled over and called 911, police said. The third vehicle to strike the man was a white truck that dragged him east of Molino Avenue before fleeing, according to police.

The driver of the Kia stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities, police said.
