Plane Hits Pedestrian During Emergency Landing At SoCal Park: Official
The pilot, an elderly man, and the pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, were both taken to the hospital, a fire official said.

LONG BEACH, CA — A small plane hit a pedestrian while making an emergency landing Tuesday at a park in Long Beach, according to a fire official.
The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on a soccer field at Heartwell Park in the 6300 block of Carson Street, according to Long Beach Fire Department Public Information Officer Capt. Jack Crabtree.
Emergency personnel arrived to find the plane on its belly with broken landing gears and helped remove the pilot, an elderly man, from the aircraft, Crabtree said in an email.

The pilot and the pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, were both taken to the hospital in moderate but stable condition, according to Crabtree, who said the incident is under investigation.
