Police Search For Assault Suspect In Long Beach
The Long Beach Police Department sought the public's help to find a man they suspect committed two assaults on Thursday.

LONG BEACH, CA — The Long Beach Police Department sought the public's help to find a man they suspect committed two assaults in the South Wrigley neighborhood on Thursday.
According to police, the first incident happened at about 9:47 a.m. when a mother was walking with her child in a stroller. The woman told police a man approached them and hit her with an unknown object. The child was not injured, police said.
The second incident happened about three hours later just down the street from the first incident, police said. The victim told LBPD that they walked past the suspect when they were also hit with an unknown object.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s with a peach fuzz mustache. He wore a white hat, a turquoise sweater over a black hooded sweater, blue pants and white and black tennis shoes. He also carried a black bag hanging from his chest with shoulder straps around his neck.
Police have increased patrols. in the area and are actively looking for the suspect. Anyone who may have information was urged to contact police dispatch at 562-435-6711.
