- The new rainbow-colored lifeguard tower will be dedicated Thursday at 5 p.m. It replaces the tower near 12th Place, which burned in a fire. The Mayor suspects arson, although the investigation is still ongoing. (LB Post)

- Snoop Dogg, a graduate from Long Beach Poly, launches the “I Am My Brother” scholarship program for Black males. (Fox 11)
- Operation Jump Start proved instrumental in helping 36 LB seniors make it to graduation during the pandemic. The organization aims to “help low-resourced, high-potential first-generation students get in, stay in, and graduate from a four-year college.” (LB Press Telegram)
