  1. The video of a May road rage incident is just now surfacing. It shows an assailant pulling a driver out of his vehicle after a fender bender on the 700 block of West Willow Street. (NBC Los Angeles)
  2. Lola’s Mexican Cuisine in Bixby Knolls is making its parklet permanent. What started as an open-streets program to keep restaurants in business has now become a guest favorite. With other parklets likely disappearing at the end of September, many restaurant owners are looking for ways to make theirs permanent, too. (LB Post)
  3. The Downtown Long Beach Alliance is accepting applications through August 31 for its Personal Care Services and Health & Wellness Grant to support “brick-and-mortar businesses within the personal care service and health and wellness industries in Downtown.” Funding ranges from $1,250 to $4,750 until a total of $90,000 is spent.   4. Shirley Raines of Beauty 2 the Streetz spends a day each week on Skid Row with a group of volunteers doing hair, makeup, and barbering. (KTLA)
