SigAlert: Semi Crash Aftermath Stretches Into Rush Hour On I-710
A SigAlert from a morning crash was still active heading into the evening commute.

LONG BEACH, CA — A SigAlert that began when a semitrailer dropped its load Tuesday morning on the Long Beach Freeway was still ongoing heading into the afternoon commute, according to preliminary police reports.
The incident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m., with the truck and load blocking lanes on northbound Interstate 710 in the area of West Anaheim Street and Ninth Street in Long Beach, the California Highway Patrol said in initial reports.
A four-hour SigAlert was issued shortly thereafter and the alert was extended an additional two hours just before 3 p.m., stretching into the evening rush hour, according to preliminary reports.

The driver said he had crashed into a bridge and an overpass involved in the incident required assessment, police said in initial reports.
