- Trucks-Giving is coming back! Taking place on Friday, the event benefits residents experiencing homelessness. Fourteen food trucks will set up at the 14th Street Park from 5 to 8 p.m. “MHA Village, Rescue Mission, Catholic Charities, Century Villages at Cabrillo and Christian Outreach in Action” will provide tickets to their clients who can redeem them for a free meal. Due every eight years, this one includes parcel allotments in “high resource” areas (including all of East Long Beach and other neighborhoods like Cal Heights and Bixby Knolls).
