Here are the top stories today in Long Beach:
- Update: No, police don’t have a suspect yet in the fruit stand shooting of an adult male and his ten-year-old son. However, authorities did find that a Pizza Hut delivery vehicle nearby also got hit with a stray bullet. Nobody was injured. (NBC Los Angeles)
- Update: The couple who was shot on Saturday may have lost their lives over a dispute involving parking. It appears that the husband was shot first; when the wife came out of her home, she was shot, too. There is a Go Fund Me to help the couple’s daughters. (CBS Local)
- Sunday saw some gunfire in Bixby Knolls around 3:47 p.m. LBPD went to the 3300 block of Atlantic Avenue. A suspect on foot was thought to have shot at a person in a car. While the rounds missed the intended target, there were plenty of strike marks and bullet casings for CSIs to work with. (LBReport)
- Romeo Chocolates is coming to The Hangar! “A Long Beach-owned and operated business combining European traditions and ethically sourced cacao and chocolates from around the world, will be opening its doors at LBX this fall.” The goal is to open in November, just as the holiday shopping season is in full swing.
