String Of Pharmacy Robberies Under Investigation In Long Beach
Police are investigating three prescription drug robberies that all happened on the same day.

LONG BEACH, CA — The Long Beach Police Department is investigating a string of pharmacy robberies that occurred Monday night.
According to police, the first robbery happened at about 10:50 a.m. at 3575 Atlantic Avenue when four Black suspects approached a delivery truck driver preparing to unload a shipment. The driver told police that the suspects told the driver not to move, which caused the driver to fear for their safety.
No weapon was used or seen, LBPD said.

"The suspects proceeded to enter the truck and take the prescription medication. The suspects fled the scene in a white colored sedan," LBPD said in a statement.
Authorities said it is unsure whether or not the additional incidents are connected to each other or the first incident.

The second incident happened at about 2:58 p.m. at 2340 East Pacific Coast Highway when three Black suspects entered a pharmacy, police said. Two of the suspects jumped over the counter and stole prescription drugs before fleeing in a dark-colored sedan.
"During the robbery, one suspect grabbed his waistband as if he was armed. No weapon was seen," LBPD said.
At about 7:10 p.m., Two suspects entered another pharmacy, jumped over the counter and stole prescription drugs before running away on foot. Employees told police they feared for their safety, but no weapon was used or seen.
The investigation into the incidents is still ongoing. Long Beach residents were encouraged to call 562-435-6711 if they think they see something suspicious.
