Suspect Arrested In Long Beach Shooting Death
He was booked on suspicion of murder with bail set at $3 million, police said.

LONG BEACH, CA — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the Feb. 16 shooting death of a 32-year-old man in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
The shooting took place around 4:30 p.m. that day in the 1700 block of Long Beach Boulevard, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Officers located a crime scene indicating that a shooting had occurred, and were notified that two shooting victims had been dropped off at a local hospital. One of the victims, Edgar Ortiz-Escamilla, 32, later died from his injuries. The second victim was listed in stable condition.
Homicide detectives later identified John Payne McIntyre II, 18, as the suspect in shooting. McIntyre, with the assistance of an LBPD SWAT team, was arrested Friday at a residence in Los Angeles.
