SWAT Responding to Armed Robbery Suspect Barricaded Inside South Bay Residence
A crisis negotiator and SWAT team are at the scene and the area has been cordoned off

CARSON, CA — An armed robbery barricaded inside a residence Friday in Carson for more than six hours before surrendering to deputies, authorities said.
The incident started just before 1 p.m. to the 18700 block of Towne Avenue between 186th and 189th streets in Carson, according to Sgt. Romeo Pascual of the sheriff's Carson Station..
A crisis negotiator and SWAT team are at the scene and the area has been cordoned off, he said.

The suspect was believed to have robbed a business two nights ago in the Carson area and the gang unit have been searching for him, Pascual said.
The suspect was apprehended about 7:30 p.m., according to the sheriff's department.
