Teslas Are Taking Over Signal Hill Streets, Impacting Parking: Report

Since July, there has been a plethora of Teslas with paper license plates clogging up Signal Hill streets, SFGate reported.

SIGNAL HILL, CA — It seems residents in Signal Hill are getting fed up with an excessive number of Teslas that have been parked throughout their neighborhoods over the last month, according to a report by SFGate.

Starting in early July, a large number of Teslas with paper license plates have been parking throughout Signal Hill neighborhoods, making residents have to compete for a spot, according to the report.

It's unclear where the Teslas are coming from. A local Tesla dealership refused to comment on the situation, according to the SFGate, and parking enforcement seems to be taking action by placing warning stickers on the cars.

“It seemed like they just appeared overnight,” a Signal Hill resident told SFGate.

Tesla has had somewhat of a controversial year, with its cars and dealerships being targeted in acts of violence ever since Elon Musk was empowered to oversee the new Department of Government Efficiency.

Musk has since left that position, but Tesla is still seeing the effects of Musk's plunge into politics, with the company slumping during its second quarter this year.

State regulators last month also moved to crack down on Tesla, saying the company misled customers about its self-driving technology.
