LONG BEACH, CA β Tens of thousands of dollars have been raised for a teen who was killed at a Long Beach bus stop Wednesday afternoon.
The 15-year-old boy, whose identity has yet to be released by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, was sitting at a bus stop in the area of Carson Street and Palo Verde around 2:56 p.m. when a car that had been speeding ran a red light, crashed and then overturned, hitting him.
The teen was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said, while the driver of the car that overturned was hospitalized in stable condition. It's unclear if the driver who ran the red light will face charges in connection with the boy's death.
