Thousands in South Bay Still Without Power
Some of the most-impacted areas included Long Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills Estates and Carson.

High winds and heavy rain caused power outages affecting tens of thousands of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and Southern California Edison customers in Southern California, the utilities said Monday.
Power was out for more than 56,000 of its customers at one time, but by 9:30 p.m. Sunday power had been restored to all but 21,000, the LADWP reported. By about 7 a.m. Monday, power had been restored to all but about 12,000 customers, said Vonda Paige of the LADWP.
LADWP areas with the most customers affected include Larchmont, Koreatown, Wilmington and east Hollywood, Paige said.
