UNA-USA Long Beach & Global Peace Foundation Host World Peace Day & United Nations Day Celebration

An Evening of Peace, Culture, and Community in Long Beach

The United Nations Association–USA Long Beach Chapter, in partnership with the Global Peace Foundation, Inc., invites the community to join in a vibrant celebration of World Peace Day and United Nations Day on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Webster Elementary School Auditorium, 1755 West 32nd Way, Long Beach, CA.

This family-friendly event will bring together leaders, artists, and community members for an inspiring evening highlighting peace, cultural diversity, and global unity. Guests will enjoy international music and dance performances, a buffet dinner, and thought-provoking messages of peace from distinguished leaders.

Dr. Manorama S. Gupta, Founder of the Global Peace Foundation, emphasized the mission behind the celebration is “Promoting peace locally and around the world by creating healthy communities through educational and cultural development of families and children, inspiring a new generation of peacemakers.”

Dr. Asmath Noor will emcee the evening and will feature keynote remarks from Barbara Gaughen-Muller, a quintessential global citizen and activist who has dedicated her life to advancing peace locally and worldwide. A visionary leader, author, motivational speaker, and host of the “Peace Podcast,” Barbara has co-authored Revolutionary Conversations: The Tools You Need for the Success You Want. Through her leadership and her work with www.RotaryeClubofWorldPeace.org, she continues to inspire new generations of global peacebuilders.

  • Invited Guests: Councilwoman Cindy Allen (Long Beach) and Councilman Shivinder Singh (Yorba Linda).
  • Cultural Program:
    • Instrumental Music: Sidharth Chitnis (Handpan & Tabla), Slushbox Guitar by Mark Wheeler & Sharon Giarratano.
    • Dance Performances: Dance Manch Bollywood, Golden Girls Dance Troupe (Chinese), Latino Dance by Andrea Elmore Dance, Bharat Natyam by Kalpana Tirumalai, Kathak by Nrityanvita Kathak Academy, and Ballet by Southern California Dance Academy.

Ticket Information:
