- Corliss Lee, President of Eastside Voice, urges LB voters to remove incumbent candidates in Districts 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 during the 2022 election cycle. These council members refused to make SB 9 an agenda item. You may recall that this is the bill, which recently passed, that would make LB “allow up to four dwelling units on single family lots.” (This assumes Governor Gavin Newsom will sign it into law.) - Art Theatre of Long Beach attendees need to show proof of vaccination. This new policy starts on Monday, 9-13. “As a public institution people will view this in all different lenses, but there’s only one lens for us, which is we want to keep our patrons and our employees safe,” said Board Chairperson Jan van Djis. (The HiLo)
- If you witnessed the fatal motorcycle crash that happened Sunday near Pacific Avenue and 23rd Street, please contact Det. Shawn Loughlin or Det. Kelsey Myers of the Long Beach Police Department Collision Investigation Detail at 562-570-7355. (LB Post)
