Where to Shred in Long Beach (Not in the Ocean)

Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews will host a Document Shredding and Recycling Eventon Saturday, Nov. 8, between 9 a.m. and noon., at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, 1950 Lemon Ave., Long Beach, (across from Long Beach City College – PCH/Orange Avenue campus).

Please stop by to get rid of your important documents and old electronics. “With the help of Future Shredding and e-Recycling of California we are making it convenient for the community to do away with unwanted items. This is the easiest and safest way to accomplish this goal. Simply drive up and hand your items to the attendants or stay and watch as they are shredded on site” said Councilman Dee Andrews.

Items that can be recycled are televisions, computer monitors, computers (CPU’s), laptops, keyboards, printers, computer mice, hard drives, fax machines, microwave ovens, DVD players, VCR’s, cables and cords, telephones, cell phones, radios, shredders, stereo components, power supplies, tape and zip drives, and electronic devices. X-rays and CD’s are not acceptable.

The first five boxes of shredding documents per car are free, anything beyond will cost a fee of $5 per box.

The companies cannot accept: large appliances, toner cartridges, fluorescent bulbs or batteries of any kind. For additional information please call 562-570-6816.
