Man Dies After Being Hit By Car In Long Beach: Police
The man was crossing the street Sunday afternoon when she was struck by a car, according to police.

LONG BEACH, CA — A man died Sunday afternoon when she was struck by a car while crossing the street in Long Beach, according to police.
Police say the man was crossing Pacific Coast Highway, west of Golden Ave, around 6:38 p.m. when the driver of a car going westbound hit him

The man died at the scene, according to the Long Beach Police Department. His identity was not immediately revealed as the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office works to notify his relatives of his death.

The driver of the car, meanwhile, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, the LBPD said.
It doesn't appear that speed, distracted driving or impaired driving were factors in the crash, police said.
