Woman Dies After Falling Off Vehicle In Long Beach: Police

Police say they responded to a call about a dead body on Saturday morning and found a woman near where Willow Street meets the LA River.

LONG BEACH, CA — Police are investigating the death of a woman who appears to have fallen off a vehicle in Long Beach on Saturday.

Police say they responded around 5:20 a.m. to a call about a dead body near where Willow Street meets the LA River.

There, officers found a woman who may have fallen off a motorcycle or some other moving vehicle, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

She died at the scene, they added. On Monday, authorities identified her as 55-year-old Rachel Sabori. The city where she resides was not disclosed.

It's unclear if anyone else was involved in the woman's death and details about how she possibly fell off a vehicle were limited. Witnesses, according to police, were cooperative with the investigation.
