Woman Stabbed During Fight In Long Beach: Police

Police say the fight broke out around 6:23 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of E. Artesia Boulevard between the woman and two suspects.

LONG BEACH, CA — A woman was stabbed during a fight in Long Beach, and authorities are looking for two suspects who were involved, according to police.

Police say the woman was in the 600 block of East Artesia Boulevard around 6:23 p.m. when two other women approached her. A fight broke out between them, where at some point, one of the two women stabbed the woman they had approched, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The two women then ran away from the scene before police arrived. Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and treated the woman who'd been stabbed, police said, adding that her wound was minor.

It's unclear what prompted the fight or whether the two women and the one who was stabbed knew each other.

The stabbing is under investigation, police said in a statement Wednesday morning.
