1 Hospitalized In Shooting Involving LA Sheriff's Deputy

PEARBLOSSOM, CA — A shooting involving one or more sheriff's deputies Friday in the Pearblossom area southeast of Palmdale left a man hospitalized.

Deputies were sent to the 13000 block of Pearblossom Highway on a "call for service" about 6:45 a.m. Thursday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

"The suspect was transported to a local area hospital," the sheriff's department said in a statement.

It was unclear if the man had been wounded, and other details were not immediately released by authorities. The shooting occurred at or near a gas station, according to a report from the scene.
