1 Killed In 110 Freeway Pile-Up
The crash triggered an early morning Sig-Alert Tuesday.
LOS ANGELES, CA — One person was killed in a three-vehicle collision Tuesday on the Harbor (110) Freeway in Vermont Slauson area of South Los Angeles.
California Highway Patrol officers were called to the southbound freeway and Slauson Avenue at 12:53 a.m. where they learned a white van, a Toyota Prius and another vehicle were involved in a collision. The van was blocking the HOV lane, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
The victim- whose name, age and gender were not immediately known- was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of the two fast track lanes and the first three lanes of the southbound 110 Freeway for two hours while it investigated the cause of the collision.
