​17 Displaced After Fire Burns 3 Town Homes In El Monte

The residential fire spread to three town homes in El Monte.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A residential fire that spread to three town homes in El Monte displaced 17 people Sunday, authorities said.

The fire was reported around 12:20 p.m. Sunday at a two-story complex in the 4000 block of Penn Mar Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The flames were affecting two homes before spreading to a third house via an attic, according to the fire department.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
