2 Gunned Down, 8 Hurt At Los Angeles New Year's Eve Party: Report

LOS ANGELES, CA — Two people were fatally gunned down, and eight others hurt when shots rang out at a New Year's Eve party in downtown Los Angeles, KTLA reported.
The shooting happened shortly after 1 a.m. at the intersection of South Santa Fe Avenue and Porter Street, but what precipitated it is unknown, the Los Angeles Police Department told ABC.
Arriving officers saw a large group of people in the street in front of the location and heard what they believed to be gunfire, LAPD Capt. Ryan Whiteman told KTLA.

The two who were killed were described as a man and a woman in their 20s, according to KTLA.
One of the eight surviving people is in critical condition, while at least two are in stable condition, authorities told ABC.

The party was held at a warehouse and unsanctioned, the outlet reported.
No arrests have been made, according to reports.
